Difference between Saginaw and Saginaw P Series?

I want to buy a new power steering pump, not sure what our cars have or what the difference is (my car is a 1985 Camaro IROC-Z, but I'm putting a whole new motor in it).

If I'm replacing the pump with a setup that comes with brackets, does it even matter which one I get?

The P series typically uses a keyway, bolt on pulley. where as the siginaw uses a press fit pulley. Also the P series depending on which one you purchase can be used with a remote reservoir rather than the one attached to the pump.

Okay, thanks. That's good to know since I'm probably going to be buying a pump and then switching out the pulley.
