Engine Fire ... Now what
All right guys. Had the Joy of White smoke billowing out of my engine bay as I pulled into my office today. Popped the hood and one wire was glowing/ burining/ melting, all clean white smoke though. It is coming off the positive terminal to the car, incased in a protector, running up the side of the engine bay into the car. Still need to track down where it ends up, I didnt do the origional wiring for the car so there are always suprises.
What could this wire go to? Radio? Can I cut it and rewire?
I will post picks next time I head out side.

Doesn't sound like a factory wire, probably some dodgy extra that a PO added. Just disconnect it (if it hasn't 'auto-disconnected' already), and see what no longer works.
