What the $%&#@ is this??
This is located on passenger side of engine. Mostly just hanging, but connected with a vacuum?? hose? What is it and how do I reinstall it or eliminate it? 1985 Z28 with a 350.

That is the egr vacuum solenoid, the vacuum signal starts from the port under the throttlebody to the solenoid to the egr valve.

It is loacted on the passenger side, near the rear of the motor. One vacuum line goes to the underside of the throttle body and one to the EGR valve.
