89 Trans Am Fuel Pump Problem
My 89 Trans Am just wouldn't start after coming out of Quick Check to buy an Almond Joy.
The engine turns over, but just won't start. I don't smell gas when it turns and doesn't ignite, and when I cycle the key, I don't hear the fuel pump like normal, leading me to believe that either the fuel pump is bad or isn't getting power. However, the fuel pump is about 5 years old, and I haven't heard of fuel pumps commonly malfunctioning that quickly. How can I check this? Is it possible to check without going directly to the pump itself? Also, is there anything else I should check to see what the problem might be? Thanks! : )
