Who's had experience with SB400's and Gen III^ engines?

Which would you recommend over the other and why?

I HAVE a 509 casting 400 block that I had planned on putting together to put in my car. I had a 400 before in my last Trans Am and LOVED it for it's wicked torque, throttle response, and demeanor. It suited me. MY GF (At the time didn't like it b/c it "gave her whiplash". That was great, IMO.

I have an opportunity to buy a 6.0 truck motor complete w/all accessories, harness, and ECM, 114k for $800.

Now I have gone and given myself a dilema...

Get the LQ4, no brainer.

Id probalby rather have the 400, but that's just because I could keep my T56 and exhaust setup... less conversion headaches. But I probably wouldnt do it with a factory 400 block.
