Need fast advise on this oil pressure reading...

Hello everyone... Just got the Z28 out a few days ago and Im supposed to take it to Easter dinner tonight, I will not be going if this is a concern. I noticed my oil pressure meter on the dash is not reading what it should. I have searched and found that its a common issue for the sender to go bad but nothing is open today for me to buy a new one.

Here is a photo of the gauge reading.... With the ignition on, the meter reads 0. Once you start the vehicle it rises all the way past 400. The red line I drew in is as high as the needle has gone. After the vehicle warms up it drops to just about 400, and rises SLIGHTLY during acceleration. The meter does not read below the blue line whether the vehicle is hot/cold idling/ acceleration.

Does this sound like a sender issue, or could it potentially be high pressure? Maybe a release valve. After I noticed I changed to oil and filter with the same results. Any advice? I know its not a good idea to drive 1-2 hours with the high pressure, so if that is the case I will not. Thanks

Alright thanks. Its a fresh 350 with 5-6000KM but it looks as if they reused the sender because has some nice patina built up. The car sounds like its running great so I'm probably going to chance it and do the 2 hour round trip. I will change the sender within the next few days and post the results for anyone having similar problems
