Fan switch and connector too brittle from heat. Suggestions?
I'm talking about the secondary fan switch on the passenger side. It is below my exhaust and I don't have the heat shields for my manifolds. The switch has broken off before and this is my second time soldering in a new connector. It gets too brittle to touch and I'm assuming it is from heat.
What can I do to protect this connector from heat? Is there something I can wrap it with? The exhaust temps don't seem to effect any other surrounding components.

You could try spark plug boots
