really need some help
i have a 1988 IROC-Z
fuel pump gets extremely loud after driving on a hot day (louder than my pipes)
i replaced the fuel pump, sending unit, and filter.
two days ago i slapped an adhesive heatsheild between my pipes and the tank.
it definitively helped a lot. however, the fuel pump started to hum after driving for about 1-2 hours.
i know its a common problem and i was wondering if anyone has fixed it?
if so what did you do?
summers coming!!

here's some light reading. I dont have this issue. alot of folks believe its the gas getting hot before being returned to the gas tank. like with headers.

Also, verify that your fuel pump is receiving a solid 12v with the engine running. Test between the large black wire(pin A) and the gray wire(pin C) of the 4 pin connector just above and in front of the tank, under the car. A poor connection in the power or ground circuit can stress the pump and cause it to struggle.
