Question
I disconected the timing wire on my 88 tbi... Set the timing to a happy -6 then turned off the car and reconected the wire... Was i suposed to leave it at 0.. Then plug it and advanced it to -6?

you did it correctly by setting the base timing with EST
in bypass(wire disconnected)if you had set the timing
with wire connected,base timing would be retarded.

why dose it say -6*you should bump the timing up = +6*
Actually mine runs best a +4* with mid grade fuel.
