Hello thank you for looking i have a 92 z28 camaro 5.7 tpi that is given me problems it all started when i was driving on the freeway i floored it and it kind of bobed on me like if it wanted to turn off it wasnt over heating or anything so i just layed off the gas and it kind of went back to normal after i got off i came to a stop sign and it turned off so i turned it back on turned on like no problem kept driving every time i came to a stop it would bob and turn off or wanted to i got home parked it later i got back on the freeway and floored it this time it wouldnt go over 70 and all of the sudden it stalled out so i went on the edge of the road i turned back on it wouldnt go over 20mph if it tried to go faster it would start to stall out and turn off or the rpm would jus go crazy the crazy thing is if i would hit my power windows it would seem if the car would pick up.... Please help no check engine light on car starts fine every time i start it oil pressure is good it not the catalytic convertor i removed it....

 

Could be anything. Has the fuel filter been changed recently? Could be plugged up. Fuel pump could be going bad. My 92 chugged really bad and it took me a while to realize it was the distributor. I replaced the entire unit with a new one and it ran great. Just some ideas for you to check out.

 

Worth pulling the codes to see if anything recorded anyway

 

wild guess...the ignition module inside the distributor.

 

My first thoughts are 1. ignition module 2. check your battery connections 3. fuel pump.

 

update i changed o2 sensor took a test drive worked good till was at 30mph started to bob down so i hit my power windows it came qlive 4 like 5 sec then started bobing so i let go can it b a short or my vss?
