I need help on installing tpi intake...FIRST TIMER :)

long story short, I was installing my intake today needed bolts so i bought some Mr.Gasket intake bolts and the four corner bolts didn't grab so I went back and bought some 3/8-16 x 1-1/4 they seemed a little long however I got them in and torqued down.... should I replace the corner bolts with the 3/8-16 x 1-1/8??
or just add washers ??

Also how much rtv should i use on the front and back of where the manifold lays??
please help I want to feel my new LT1 cam already lol

Washers spread the load and stop the bolt head gouging the alum intake
