Sticky fuel gauge.

Just randomly on the last tank of gas on y 92 z28 the gauge started to stick on 1/2 tank or just slightly below and now is doing it again on the new tank full. Reads fine once full but when it gets to that half way point is when it acts screwy. I put a walbro 255lph pump and racetronix Hotwire it in over the winter and have prob ran 5-6 tank fully since then and had no issue. Any luck it's just the gauge and I can pull the cluster and fix it?
