I've had this ongoing problem for a while now. Occaisionally when I get in my car it will turn over just fine but will not fire. When this happens I can't hear or see the injectors pulsing and the last time it happened I wasn't getting spark either. Recently I had thought it was the 2 wire connector going from the coil to the module, because when I would disconnect and then reconnect or just replace it the car would fire. However I have noticed if I leave it alone for anywhere from a couple of hours to a day and then go back to it it will start just fine. Like nothing was ever wrong. Here's a list of parts I have replaced:
Plugs (AC Rapidfire)
Wires
Cap
Rotor
Coil
Distributor and Module (A1 cordone Reman)
Computer
Starter (Old One died with trying to start it so much)
Battery

Despite all this the gremlin still rears it's ugly head from time to time, and usually at the worst times. I have had the module tested numerous times and it always reads good. Is there a way to test the distributor or just the pickup inside it. I have tested the pickup and the coil several times and never have seen a problem. I wonder if the problem is intermittent would my tests not show anything? Also, If the problem is the 2 wire connector from the module to the coil then why would it keep going bad? I have probably replaced it a half dozen times in the last year. Any advice on a direction to go now or any tests I can perform would be greatly appreciated. Thank guys!
