How do I adjust the ignition timing on a stock L69 with stock HEI?
I can't seem to find the procedure for this. There is one posted in the "technical" section but it has to do with FI engines.

Exiting the distributor is a 4-wire cable with a connector on it. Disconnect it to prevent the ECM from adjusting the timing. This will set code 42, that is normal.
Can now set the base timing by rotating the distributor and using a timing light. It can be tough to get the the hold down bolt, it is a 9/16" hex head on the bolt.
Be sure to adjust the timing on a warmed up engine, and recheck once the bolt is snugged down.
