need help. loud pop! loss of power.
I have an 89 tbi. When driving there are loud pops under car, accompanied by loss of power and stalling. Car will start right up if attempted. I let it cool. Also have a code 23.

Sounds like spark drop out. The popping in the exhaust is unburned fuel igniting as it hits the hot exhaust manifolds. Suspect a failing ignition module.
Code 23 is manifold air temp sensor or circuit. The sensor on your TBI car should be in the air cleaner. Is yours connected? This code will most likely not be related to the popping and stalling.
