no power to ecu or fuel pump
So I'm.putting everything back together after my deal I have everything hooked up. Well iv been at it.for a few days hooking things up, I got it running then took the intake off cause of a leak. no fuel and no spark, blew a few fuses even the one by the battery. I replaced them all put the ternmials back the correct way.
Well I got the ebl so it ktells me when its reading the computer, it doesn't read it at all, no check engine light, no spark or fuel pump priming.

Re: no power to ecu or fuel pump
If you replaced the fuse in the weatherpack connector up near the battery I don't know what to tell you. That is the fuse that supplies power to the ECM. You might have fried parts with the reversed polarity.
My Dad did that to the engine on his boat many years ago. Like you, it would actually try to spin the motor over but that was it. After fixing the battery cable swap problem it would start and run but the alternator light was on. It fried the diodes and who knows what else inside the alternator.
Reversing the battery cables is BAD juju in a car. And the more electronics there are in the thing the more stuff that could potentally be fried.

Re: no power to ecu or fuel pump
Well I put in my stock ecu and it was the same thing, this blows for sure.
I've checked everything that I know. I mat try to hot wire the ecu fuse line to see if its bad

Re: no power to ecu or fuel pump
i am having same issue. pretty much did same thing you did sounds like lol ....
i not getting spark, what i am about to try and change out the computer, and if that dont fix it then the Electronic Spark Controller. ... these are the only two things i can think of it can be.
i tried swapping distributors even. new cap and button wires and plugs. and i have 12v coming out of the coil. and my fuel pump would work sometimes and sometimes it wouldnt.
so thinking it has to be one of those two parts above.

Well I got fuel now cause the ebl was bad, one of my injectors were bad also so I put in my 90# ones and gonna change my ecm today to see if I get spark. Sucks I pay $440 for a computer and it doesn't last 3 weeks
