vacuum hose and air flap issue

So after changeing the whole vacuum line system on my car, it fixed a few issues and left some, so while looking at a line with thevcar running I noticed a piece of small paper atvthe end, befor I could grab it it got sucked it, I also noticed that my second air flap on the hood is staying open even in idle, I wanted to know if any one could help me and putbmy worries at ease too I also wanted to know if onw of the inputs on the canister broke could it cause a vacuum leak? I tried fixing it with quick metal and it seems to hold, but do I need a new canister too?

Thanks
