A couple of concerns and questions
Alright, so I just traded my CBR 600rr (2004 year), and my old ninja 500 (2007 year) for a 1986 IROC-Z Camaro. I know a bit about mechanics, and everything that goes with it from my first car since it use to break down a lot. There are things I don't know (especially since it was a SOHC Dodge stealth made in 93.)
The car already has a 454 engine (demon carbs) with a 350 Turbo Tranny. Basically, it has the engine work done, that I wanted originally to do when I bought a camaro.
My questions are:
AC - It has none. Why? Bigger engine. The guy decided not to have it in. Also raced it while driving it around town. Its East texas where I live, so it gets kind of hot. Is it possible to buy and rig an AC unit in it? Or would it be best to just have a few fans in the driver/passenger area?
Timing - Apparently the guy ran NOS when he raced, and adjusted the timing accordingly for that. Should I adjust the timing for the engine NOW, or just wait and keep the timing where its at when I add my own NOS set, and eventually a supercharger?
Radiator - I suppose I need atleast a 4 core aluminum radiator? It currently has stock. Doesn't over heat, but it gets up there in my 'iffy' range. 210 - 220's. Wheres a good place to get one?
Thanks in advance.
