firebird steering reassembly

firebird steering reassembly

Hi, I recently purchased an '89 Firebird and the first thing on my list to take care of was the loose tilt steering. I tightened the four bolts that cause the problem and I am in the process of reassembling everything. The problem I am now having is the ignition switch rack preload came off and I am not sure where it belongs. Can anyone explain to me where it goes so i can finish this up. Thanks.

well guys, as it turns out my brother found some detailed shots of the tilt steering assembly online and we were able to re assemble everything. Thanks to the original posters of the diy tilt steering fix as it was a great help. it can be found here:
