bosch vs ac delco fuel pump - long term?

Yes, i know lots of threads on this, I did search. I have a basically stock 1987 IROC. Car was running fine, but we put in a new sending unit and fuel pump as the gas gauge was basically not reading at all. Put in an ep381. Well, it turns out to be bad, out of the box. Shop had ANOTHER vehicle in (apparently a lot of cars used that pump) and put an EP381 in it and it was ALSO bad out of the box. Made in China. I checked a number of suppliers, ALL their EP 381 are made in china. Well, i found an EP241 off amazon that is made in Brazil. I was hoping for made in USA, but hey, at least not made in china, right? I also noted people on here liking the Bosch turbine fuel pump. So, which should i use? Does anyone have any LONG TERM experience with the Bosch? My last AC Delco241 was put in 10 years ago, and i NEVER had a problem with it. 10 years, 40,000 miles. But i've NO idea where it was made. I really want to NEVER have to drop the tank again, so i'm looking for something i can pretty much put in, run right, and forget about it....
