Re: 2k idle speed?

I'd check the linkage, base idle screw and the IAC.

Re: 2k idle speed?

Watajob is correct, you need to check the base setting. If you set the tps and the idle changed, it may not be set at 0.52 when competely close when set, recheck it. Look at the tps reading on a scan tool. If it is used, you can not reset the voltage on a worn out TPS, replace it!

also, what does the IAC show on the scan tool. If 0 it is completely closed.

Check for vacuum leaks.

The IAC my have carbon holding it open.

Pull codes, Jumper the aldl (a to b), count the flashes

Re: 2k idle speed?

Yea i replaced the IAC the old one had massive carbon. That still didnt change any thing goin to replace the TPS even tho the voltage reads correct. I also put in slightly bigger injectors...would that effect the idle tho? I also pulled a vacuum line from the TB that runs to the canister and the idle drop to 500 Rpm..hmm. I havent checked the fuel pressure either after installing a new regulator but that shouldnt effect idle or...
