How to drain gas

So I have been doing a lot of reading on this site and I can see there are a few things to do to my 88 GTA that I recently got. One of which is drain the gas. Not to sound like an idiot but what is the best way to do that?

Re: How to drain gas

Siphon it out with a hose. Don't suck on the end of it for obvious reasons. Unless you like drinking gasoline.

They sell hoses with those primer bulbs on them. I have a siphon hose that has a little copper rattle-ball-thingy on the end that acts as a primer:

Re: How to drain gas

Disconnect the fuel line under the hood, power up the fuel pump via the relay and siphon it out.

Re: How to drain gas

Ok I go the gas drained out.
So now the question is should I add any Sea Foam or fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank once I add 5 gal of premium gas..

Re: How to drain gas

Seafoam or injector cleaner wouldn't be a bad idea. Replacing the fuel filter before filling the tank with fresh fuel wouldn't hurt either.

Under the car on the driver's side in front of the fuel tank.

Use flare nut wrenches for the fittings. If there's corrosion spray the fittings with penetrating oil like PB Blaster before trying to loosen them. don't lose the o-rings that are on the lines. Don't over tighten the fittings.
