Super Victor, or Victor Jr.?

Putting together an AFR 220 headed 406. I would like to use a Super Victor manifold, but only have a 2" cowl hood. Any ideas on if it will clear, or will I have to go with Vic Jr?

Re: Super Victor, or Victor Jr.?

How much taller is the Super Vic over the Vic jr? I have a Vic jr. with a drop base 3" filter under a stock hood so a drop base with a super vic might fit under a 2".

I should also say that I'm running a Spohn tubular K-member and Moroso solid motor mounts. Not sure if this changes the height of the motor at all.

that's what I'm hoping to find out here. I won't be running an air filter, it's a track only car.

I know edelbrocks site has all the deminsions for their manifolds. I'd check there. But if your not running a filter, I'd about guarantee you it'll fit.

Re: Super Victor, or Victor Jr.?

well, after a lot more reading and research, I've decided that AFR's composite SBC manifold is the way to go.

I know this is an old thread but did you actually buy the AFR intake?

Re: Super Victor, or Victor Jr.?

Yes i did, but the engine is still waiting to be installed so i really don't have any insight on it yet. However a friend ran one on his bracket car for a couple seasons and it was very consistent and had no problems with it, but switched to a Wilson ported Victor jr to try and go a little faster.
