new motor is cutting out, off and on at 2,000 rpm or higher
installed new motor with new stand alone ecm. when i drive up to and go past 2,000 rpm it cuts out, off and on. as soon as i let go of the throttle and let it go under 2,000 rpm it drives normal. i tried fuel filter and ignition module. maybe bad distributor, or stock fuel is going bad , im not sure. would like to get more opinions before i start going at it. anyone have any ideas/HELP ?????? thanks

I'm thinking that putting a gauge on it temporarily so you can see if it fails to hold pressure when you bring the RPMs above 2000. If it maintains pressure, then the problem is somewhere else and you can move on without spending money needlessly.

So your supplementing your in-tank pump with an external pump? That's definitely something to look into. I could see the in-line pump building the correct head pressure for the engine to run but the tank pump not keeping up.
