is it still good?
Hey all, im new to the forum and V8's so please pardon my inexperience.
I'm 1day away from picking up my 87 sc and I'm crazy excited. The car has a carbed 305 that's running in it currently.
However...I do have the option of a 350 4 bolt main that was rebuilt with a few go fast goodies. Having said that..the 350 has been sitting in my dads back yard under the hood of the carcas of what once was a beautiful 1980 red corvette. And it was fast. Sadly tho my dad lost control of the car on a sandy road and destroyed the body about 6 years ago.
The motor was rebuilt about 2 years before the accident and the car has sat untouched since the accident. Would I have to tear down the motor and rebuild again or would I be good to just go ahead and do the swap. And on a side note, is there anything else I could use from the corvette? I have it at my disposal so I figure why not...

I wouldn't just throw it in. I'd inspect everything at minimum before plugging everything in and getting things set up. I'd be putting money on the idea you're going to need to rebuild it. I've seen a few people get lucky, but not often.
