bad harmonic balancer?

I.m having some vibration in engine while increasing rpms. Its not constant but the virbration seems to "float" can this be a bad balancer? Cause thats all i think. it could be

Do you have a steel driveshaft? Those are notorious for causing vibrations at high RPM's. The an aluminum one from an RPO code JG1 third gen or an LS1 4th gen is the fix. Both are direct fit though the diameters are different, not sure which is "better", but both are lighter and kill the vibration.
