Fuel gauge pegged/91 Z28 won't start

Hello. I'm new here. I have a completely stock 1991 Z-28 5.7 I've owned since new. I have started and driven it about once per month over the last couple of years. The car won't start now at all. Happened kind of suddenly. The gas gauge is now pegged way past full (like 1/4 tank distance past the full mark, much more than if you filled it completely up normally). I hear the fuel pump engage when I turn the key on. Any suggestions?
