Ignition Coil
Ignition Coil
Hi, I am working on a 1991 Camaro RS with a partial engine swap. It started off as a Tbi and is getting a 5.7 Tpi. The engine is almost ready to go into the car but as I was mocking up the wiring harness I relized I cant find one of the connectors that plugs into the ignition coil. The one connector i did find on the harness has a pink and a white wire going to it. Does anyone have a picture or something so i can see what the other connector looks like? Any help would be appreciated

Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Re: Ignition Coil
2 connectors go to the coil. They look ALOT alike.
One comes from the car. (sounds like you have that one under control)
The other comes from the distributor. (a brief search of the dist would be in order)

Yea, I have the one one that comes from the car, the one that comes from the distributor - is that a part of the harness or is it a seperate two wire connector?
Re: Ignition Coil
On my 1991 5.7 TPI it is a separate two-wire harness, 12 inches long give or take, from the distributor ICM to the coil. From memory, the two connectors to the coil, one of them is black and the other is gray. They are keyed such that I think the black connector has to be plugged in first, then the gray one. Removal, of course, would be vice-versa. You can plug in either separately but for both you have to follow the sequence.
