hi need help on my trans am gta 5.7 tpi due to not sparking have ordered new cap rotor coil ignition module and pick up coil how do you take the distributor out to fit the pick up coil

 

Remove the bolt; lift.

You'll have to remove the gear so you can pull the shaft so you can change the pickup coil. Requires about a 3/16" punch or thereabouts, can't recall exactly but it's near that size. Make sure you note which way the gear goes on the shaft (there's an alignment dot) because there's an odd # of teeth, meaning things will line up weird if you put the gear back on backwards.
