BBC camshaft selection

Want to get some advise on a camshaft i bought for a 12.50 to 1 bbc build,454ci stock 990 heads,i used the comp computer selector and called in 1 time i think? its a flat tappet solid comp ZL1 LS-7 grind spec are: .581int .622ex dur@.015 299int309ex @.050 262int 272ex 110 ls

rest of the build: all forged,balanced LS-7 lower end,1050 dom, single plane intake,2 1/8super comp headers,coan 4500-5000 8"convertor,going in a gen 2 78 camaro,373 gear to start ,comp states this cam is better than the original 180 cam,anyone know why?am i leaving alot on the table with this cam?will be running on e-85,any thoughts on a 100 to 200hp shot?

Street/strip or full race?

If it's street/strip then it will probably be fine. If it's race only, they have better flat tappet grinds. I ran the 11-613-5 cam for a few years in a 469 and got deep into the 10's but it was the limits of what a flat tappet cam can do. I had to go roller to get a better grind. My current roller cam has lift over .800

Chances are if you pumped all the similar cam grinds into DD2000, you won't see a huge difference in performance.

just building to take to the car show on the weekend,planning on renting track time with a few friends next summer they havent seen what ive been up too,instead of small block vette it will be bb camaro trying for low 11,s or high 10's if i can afford a better gear, what do you think it will run if i can get it to hook?29.5" tire what gear would be best if i switch from the 3.73?
