My car has been sitting for about 3 months I tried to start it up yesterday and I couldn't get it to crank so I figured the battery was dead. Went and got It charged up cameback and still nothing. Although it has been sitting for about 3 months every other day I would start it up for awhile and it would be fine. Now I'm getting nothing.
I have a feeling it could be the VATS but I'm not sure how to confirm this?
Any input can help.
Thanks

Is your vats light on constant? or go off after a few seconds?
Does the starter go click , click , cllick?
Take a test light and proble the S terminal on the starter (little wire) while someone cranks.
Does it light up? If you you need a new starter.

The vats light stays on constantly and I'm not hearing anything from the starter.
And unfortunately I don't have a test light lol

IF the light is staying on Its prob. a vats issue.
Easy way to test that is to measure the resistance of your key.
get a inline resistor the same ohm your key is.
Then under the dash unplug the vats connector. Loop the resistor inline and see if it starts.
