Out of curiosity, i was wondering how much you guys tighten the harmonic balancer to. cause when i put mine on, with the install tool, it went in good for a while then got really tough, where i had to use leg power on it, untill my adapter on the tool snapped in half from to much pressure,--------> here is a couple pictures to give yall an idea wether or not i should try and tighten her more, or wether i should keep her where shes at.

Re: how far do you usually tighten (damper)

You put it on until it bottoms against the crank sprocket. Either it's on all the way, or it's not. There are no real "options" about how far.

Not all of em will look the same, as far as the "gap" between the damper and the TC, since they're not all the same thickness; so it's hard to tell from any pics. Usually not too hard to look inside it at the crank snout though, and if it isn't on far enough, observe the witness mark from where it used to touch the crank.
