Hey guys I have this pretty odd issue, my camaro has a 74 nova engine dropping into it (police one) after all mods puts out about 340hp. quick as hell and i rarely push it past 2500 rpm.

Well I noticed that when I start the car I have fuel burn off, I know I have to fix that and I have an exhaust leak. But if I pass let's say 2700 rpm I smell this burning smell. The a/c and heater core are removed and it is built to race (we have a speedway out here).

anyone have any idea what it could be? I know the vents arent completely blocked off and a friend mentioned kickback from the engine.electrical looks fine. I love my power band but im afraid to touch it at that rate guys. it doesnt seem to be drinking oil either.

Had a low ish idle leaking oil through the intake manifold until i resealed the valve covers. now it's back to 900 idle.

edit: When i say exhaust leak i mean my exhaust gasket.
