Car: 84 tunnel rammed camaro
Engine: 383 stroker
Transmission: 700r4 modified 3500 stall bnm kit
Axle/Gears: 26 spline 3.42
84-87 camaro rear end HELP!!!
ok please bare with me and try to help me out i have a 84 camaro v6 with a v8 swap and i wanted to change out the rear end in it. it had a 7.5 10 bolt 3.23 and i had another rear end with 10 bolt i swapped but my spool wont fit it it is alot wider i cant figure out what the rear end is here is the info i got from it the rear end says gm n 22522676 k8 and the pinion says 14085344 12 41 7 5/8 gm please help me find out if its a 7.5 8.2 8.5 whattttt im going crazy

All of the numbers you posted look like 7½" 10-bolt.
The 8-digit casting # looks like the F-body center section. If it has a torque arm mount next to the pinion (it should) then that's what it is.
I'm guessing the RING has those other #s on it like all the others, not the PINION... in any case, that's a 3.42 gear (41 ÷ 12 = 3.416666666...) for a 7½" 10-bolt. In later years, the OD of the ring in the 7½" rear was increased slightly, to 7-5/8"; doesn't matter as far as fitting, they're all interchangeable.
It's still dark out, and the lights in your garage are turned off, so I can't see what "spool" is all about; can't help you there. Maybe later on.

Sure, we all know what one is; but the problem is
which is pretty much out of left field somewhere, in relation to the rest of the post.
my spool wont fit it it is alot wider
