Power Lock Retrofit
Hello ThirdGenners.
So my '86 Firebird was the barebones base model when it was sold new, and it had no extras whatsoever. Being a modern kind of guy, while in the process of restoring the car I was toying with the idea of adding power windows and door locks to it. The power window retrofit looks to be a tremendous pain in the ***, so I think I've settled on just doing the power locks.
Here's my problem... I got a set of generic lock actuators (which are nearly identical to the actuators I installed on my DeLorean a while back), but in looking at the door panel I cannot figure out a decent place to mount them.
Here's my door:

And here's the actuator:

This is apparently a very common setup as I've done a number of searches here and elsewhere to try and find some info, but I cannot get any solid information on WHERE to mount the actuator. Any help?
Thanks.
