Hose Barb on Q-Jet Choke Housing: What Does it Go To?
I have it plugged as of now. I believe it needs to go to some heat or vacuum source and it may help it hold open the choke longer until the engine is really warm. I've been having trouble with it not wanting to warm up very well. Need to know what and where to hook it up to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the hot air turns the choke off sooner than if you have it disconnected the way yours is now ( assuming it is working )

Does the choke actually operate and is adjusted correctly ?

Doesn't really "go" anywhere... there's a tiny vacuum hole in the back that tries to draw air into the intake, and there's a little air filter in that "barb", that cleans up the make-up air.

I'm really tired, yesterday the car blew a fuse and I drove home in the dark and its been one thing after another today. Choke is fine, just needs fine tuning. I know it runs to the heat riser. I'm running an Edelbrock Performer with a block-off, do I need to drill and tap it to put it a hose barb and run a hose between them? Joined: Apr 2005
