Engine: 350 bored .030 over, 438rwhp 429tq
Transmission: 700r4 stage 3 race 700hp
Axle/Gears: stock axles and 3.23 gears
msd time

im looking to buy a msd 6a, i was ondering if anyone has used something like this http://www.jegs.com/i/MSD+Ignition/121/8401/10002/-1 and how hard it was to install and if they needed anything extra for it

Why would you do that?
If you really want a MSD coil buy this and put it in your HEI dist
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/msd-8225

Then you don't need a new remote coil as well as the #8401 conversion cap you linked

That is for old hei so you can run an external coil, which your 91 already has.

It will not do anything for you in terms of hooking up an msd box.

When all else fails, go to the companies website, I did the hard part for you,

http://www.msdignition.com/appguidedomestic.aspx

You need 8876 harness to install the 6a box.

Don't expect a huge gain in performance if your engine is mild.
