Need help please

Would anyone happen to know the hood clearance from the intake manifold on the LO3 V8 in the 92 Camaro RS? I want to put an open element air filter on my engine and i dont know if the one i want will be clear of the hood.

Re: Need help please

You should be able to fit a 14x3 air cleaner w/ a flat base. You'll need to remove the spacer ring, thats a restriction anyways, make sure the base is clear of the linkage.
Do a search, hopefully you'll find some part numbers.
