how to fine tune??
how to fine tune??
Hi I have a 85 iroc , just freshened up motor it has 11:1 comp, world products heads , I changed the injectors and put in 24lb inj. Also have accel lower intake and slp runners. Edelbrock headers. New cap rotor (msd) new esc module, wires. Egr delete plate. Also have a comp xfi cam 268 280. I had a custom chip burned to match what I had done already but it does not seem right I still have stock throttle body 48mm and stock plenum. I am not sure what fuel pressure is at that's next or if pump is putting out enough or not ?? It sounds like there is sputtering or spitting out of exhaust. If neones has ne input it would be greatly appreciated and how much HP could this set up put out?? If tuned correctly.

If this is a 305 engine, then your 24 lb/hr injectors will put you about 35% too rich at WOT, and probably max out your negative blms at idle, possibly fouling the plugs. If 305 cid engine, then you need to change the injector constant in the chip to lean it back down. If 350 cid you still may need to adjust the injector constant some if you're getting a lot of negative blms.
Hook up a scanner and/or WBO2 and see where you're at now.
This step will probably take care of at least 80% of the fuel tuning required.
