1982 Z28 (project)
Well, a little over 4 months ago, I bought this. I paid 400 dollars for the rolling body, Had a B&M Megashifter in it. All the lights worked, interior and exterior.
The engine, my older brother had built, and since he had recently junked the truck it was in I bought it for 1100. It's a 350 block out of a 1986 Chevy Custom Deluxe, bored .060, 502 Crane Cam .480 Duration. 305 Heads (Have been ported/polished/went through and worked on, but still looking to change them) I believe "x" rods and mains, the rest, I can't really call to mind.
The Transmission, came with the engine, for the 1100, it's a TH350 "lockup" Transmission with a shift and pull kit.
Motor/trans has less than 2000 miles.
Picked up the Holley 750CFM 3310 from a friend, cost me a visit to his shop to pick it up.
After a LOT of help from all of you on here, threads, and PM's alike, and much much thanks. I'm getting it back together
So here it began: http://imgur.com/ljdqIOr
dropped the motor in after changing motor mounts, ball joints, transmission mount, greased, and cleaned all the parts I could get to on the bottom side of the engine.
Picked up a radiator, for another visit to a friends shop, believe it is a 3 or 4 core (based on the thickness not quite sure how to tell)
and here is where I was at that point: http://imgur.com/Eh7Nf26
After a lot of hammer, banging, cussing, bleeding and nearly tears, I got everything bolted in and put into place where I wanted it.
So here is the engine bay today, the more I look at it, the more I realize I should have sanded, primed and painted it, but... It's my first project and I learned a lesson.
So here it is: http://imgur.com/TpW1HGc
Another shot: http://imgur.com/iYMgCre

I have the side rails, I am repainting, and soon will be removing the front bumper to sand/repaint. Has some damage, so will be a little work to do.
All in all, this is where I am at. I would love any suggestions/hints/tips/ideas anyone would like to throw my way. Thanks for looking, and again thanks for all of the help everyone has given me.

Here's the newest addiction, I plan on hole sawing into the area behind the gauges, and putting them into the dash, but for now this is where they are. Paid 40 bucks for the gauges, and all the hardware to run install and mount them. I like the way they look, and they're not small gauges, 2 5/8". I'm happy with them and they seem to work well.

The gauges look good but you may want to check clearance behind the dash in that area before you start making holes. Did you get the gfx back on the side yet?

What do you mean by gfx? and I didn't think about the clearance, I better take a look into that, if needed I may just make a little "box" or "case" to put them in and make it flush with the vents. Would probably look more "prfoessional"

Gfx are the "Ground effects" or what you called a rail, on the lower edge of the body and includes the rear deck spoiler.
Ground effects is a term applied to a series of aerodynamic effects used in car design, which has been exploited to create downforce originally for use on racecars.

Ooh, the silver rail like pieces than run along the bottom sides of the doors? No, I'm going to start sanding and painting on those this week, I wanted to replace the door hinges before I put them back on because they rub pretty bad because of the sagging door
