Lifter Tick
Hello,
I'm baffled by the cause of my lifter tick. Just got my rebuilt motor running and the #5 exhaust is clacking. The lifter is new but I replaced it anyway with no better result. Oil pressure is at 25 lbs at idle with a standard Mellings pump and no other lifter is having issues. The cam is a new roller Crane 2032 so it's not flat. Push rod is straight and the orifice is not clogged but there must be a clog somewhere....right? There is a less oil coming from the rocker than the others so I know it's oil control but I need help figuring out what my next move is.
