Air Conditioning Parts/Plug

My air conditioning on my car works great... sometimes. Unfortunately, this plug seems to have burnt up some at some point (you can't see it in the picture, but it's there. Cleaned it up some, the burn marks are in the shadowy area). Does anybody know where I can find a replacement besides hoping to get lucky and find one in a salvage yard? I know it is this plug. If I hold it right, the ac works great, sometimes, it will stay that way, but once it gets bumped, the compressor cuts off. I won't be needing AC any time soon, but I'd sure love to replace this so I can have it ready for summer. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

That same plug is on every GM car & truck from the early 80s up through some time in the 90s. (well, every one with A/C, anyway...)

If your local junkyard has any such vehicles, admittedly rare though they may be especially since the A'C option kinda narrows em down, you'll be in good shape.

I'd suggest, go pay a visit to yer local buzzard, and see what's there, before getting too bothered about it.

Re: Air Conditioning Parts/Plug

I love a good trip to salvage, I just knew the only two Camaros in the lot didn't have it in tact anymore. Glad to know it is in fact the same on other GM cars. I may be frolicking through the mud and salvage cars this week after all. That is the appropriate term. I get a little giddy when I know I'm digging through discarded cars.
