Is emissions a concern? Is is a L69 w/ the dual snorkel air cleaner?
A modern camshaft, headers, cat back exhaust, & a good tune on the stock carb.
If you want more, then you'll have to do heads(like torker 305s) or build a bigger engine. I'd get a vortec 350, it has great flowing heads for stock ones, a roller cam, ect.
