Hello,

I got the engine back in the 83 T/A today. But I have a question does a vacuum line hook into the bottom of this part. And if so where does it come from?



There are also some extra connectors that I have nothing to plug into Any idea where these go?





any help would be appreciated.

Are you running an egr valve. Couple of those tie into it. 2nd post is your egr solenoid.

 

Does this hose hook up to the first picture I posted?

 

for the valve in #2,a foam filter pad was originally clipped in there-can be replaced with a chunk of foam,felt or other material that will filter dust.

 

No, from the factory there is a piece of foam on it tho, to keep stuff out.

 

This wire i assumed was a ground and bolted it to the back of the right hand side head.
Am I correct or did I place this in the wrong place.

 

It's a ground. Back of the head is fine.

 

Thanks for the help so far. Still hopefully someone has an idea about the rest.

 

that is a ground wire, mine are on the head, i have about 4 wires there tho, dont know what year or engine you have could vary
