Should something hook up here

Hello,

I got the engine back in the 83 T/A today. But I have a question does a vacuum line hook into the bottom of this part. And if so where does it come from?

There are also some extra connectors that I have nothing to plug into Any idea where these go?

Are you running an egr valve. Couple of those tie into it. 2nd post is your egr solenoid.

for the valve in #2,a foam filter pad was originally clipped in there-can be replaced with a chunk of foam, felt or other material that will filter dust.

Re: Should something hook up here

This wire i assumed was a ground and bolted it to the back of the right hand side head.
Am I correct or did I place this in the wrong place.

It's a ground. Back of the head is fine.
