L89 turbo build... Opinions please

Stock L89 bottom (will be upgrading to a splay capped, roller, 96 Vortec block w/ some flavor of mild alum heads... that'll be my project for down time)
L89 heads w/ springs & a good port job
LT1 intake
Rollin Thunder, Camshaft, Hyd, 1500-6500rpm,Adv Dur 296 Int/300 Exh, Valve Lift 0.539 Int/0.548 Exh, Lobe Angle 112deg,
Single Borg Warner turbo (rear mount in place of muffler) (still deciding on which turbo, suggestions are welcome)

I'm thinking 6-9lbs of boost will be fine.

What are your thoughts on power?

Definately no on the camshaft. I run similar duration in my near race only 400" motor. Go much smaller. Advertised around 268-276.

Borg warner would only work as rear mount if you get the smaller T4 flanged types with small housing. If thinking popular s400, s475, s480 those are all T6 and too large to spool at rear.

Buy some turbo books and read all you can. It will help. Also read thru garrett turbos website tech article section, turbo 101, 102 and 103. Nice article on selecting a turbo
