My car was originally a 2.8 liter V6. I changed the V6 up for a 355 V8. This was awhile ago now and I am still cleaning up some of the smaller details. The throttle cable is too long for the V8. As I remember it the throttle cable originally ran to the passengers side of the car when the 6 cylinder was still in there, and this explains why the cable is soo long. Is there a throttle cable available that has the correct length for use with a carbureted motor? The problem is because mine is too long, I have the cable in a slight loop and the angle of the cable to the carburetor makes the throttle cable bind slightly as well as makes for a very stiff and un natural feeling gas pedal. Please let me know as I am ready to buy asap. I guess I should have put this thread in the "Parts wanted" section. If a moderator reads this...please move to the appropriate section.
