82-84 T/A Hood Bulge/Louver Vacuum Source
Sup people,
Looking into putting this system into my 82 which did not come with it stock.
The flap opens at WOT so when pressure is near ambient.
Which port on the carb should I pull vacuum from?

J B L T H N or the little port right behind the carb which is also going to the vacuum can for HVAC control?
From what I can tell, it should be the little port behind the carb on the manifold as that is "manifold vac" versus the carb's "ported vac".

Re: 82-84 T/A Hood Bulge/Louver Vacuum Source
It just needs to be a full manifold vacuum source. The port on the back of the carb will work fine, as will the HVAC port on the manifold behind the carb.
When the vacuum switch reads something close to "zero vacuum" it activates the circuit and opens the flapper in the hood. Obviously, you don't want a ported vacuum source or it would also open at idle.
