Need fuel pressure gauge for my L98. Recommendations?
Need fuel pressure gauge for my L98. Recommendations?
Gents..
I need to get a fuel pressure gauge for my 1987 Pontiac GTA 350 L98. Can someone suggest a fuel pressure kit that will work on this model's fuel rail? I bought the Accel kit #74726 as I was told that it would work, but it does not fit the application. Can someone suggest one to me that would work on my otherwise stick car? I'm having problems with the fuel pump not pressurizing on key on, and I want to see if I'm building pressure, or loosing it, or what not. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
PS.. I've tried the search function but could not come up with much useful information. Sorry to bring this subject up in case it was covered already a million times...

If it's just to check pressures without moving you could try the local auto parts store. They should have something for around $30-$40. They might have one on the shelf that will screw directly onto the schrader valve.
Also I would check your relays also before you head in. My FP relay was getting a slight arc'ing and had melted some of the plastic on the relay itself so I replaced it.
