lunati 60102 cam help
Swapping a lunati cam into my 1992 305. The stock 305 cam has a lip on it allowing the cam guard to fit over the end but the lunati cam does does not have this lip. What steps do i need to take to fix this issue?

Re: lunati 60102 cam help
Is it a roller cam? Ur engine uses a roller cam. I'm not at a desktop so I can't look it up but I'm pretty sure that's the can I use in my non roller block. Make sure its right for Ur application.

There should be a dowel pin that comes with the cam that you can use in place of the "lip".

You'll have to change the timing chain from a roller style chain to a flat tappet chain and you'll need longer push rods.

Re: lunati 60102 cam help
Lip is for the retainer plate. Called a stepped nose. 87-99 type blocks that came with oem rollers. If you cant send cam back you may need a regular sbc timing chain as mentioned and a thrust button on the timing cover to keep cam from walking. Basically how all other sbc's are
