Is TDC at the 0 mark on the balancer?
I am dumb and forgot to set up TDC on my new motor before dropping in the distributor. Because of my procharger and long tubes, I cannot access cylinder #1 spark plug very easily at all and my procharger body rests right on the top corner of the valve cover so removing it is out of the question.
Can I turn the balancer to 0 degrees and set the distributor to firing on cyl #1? and if it does not sound right can I flip the distributor 180?
Also I was considering removing the passenger valve cover and watching the valves move, wait for cyl #2 to move and then carefully assume where #1 would be?

That *should* be the mark. You could pull the pass. side. valve cover, find TDC on #6 w/the valves open which would put #1 at TDC w/the valves closed. Drop the dizzy in, slap on the plug wires, (in the correct order, of course!), and you should be golden.

Oh yes I was wondering about that, what would be a hint to when cyl #1 is at TDC, so when both valves are open on Cyl#6 (during overlap) is when cyl #1 should be damn near TDC and my balancer should also be approaching near 0 degrees? I just got a new TCI Rattler installed and it has real nice timing notches.
